Program Objective
The Korean Government Scholarship Program is designed to provide higher education in Korea for international students in order to promote international exchange in education and mutual friendship between the participating countries.

Available fields : All majors of general graduate schools

Duration of Scholarships

Masters : 3 yrs. (01.09.2010 ~ 31.08.2013) – 1 yr. of Korean language + 2 yrs. of Masters
Doctoral : 4 yrs. (01.09.2010 ~ 31.08.2014) – 1 yr. of Korean language + 3 yrs of Doctoral
Integrated Masters & Doctoral : 5 yrs. (01.09.2010 ~ 31.08.2015) – 1 yr. of Korean language + 4 yrs. of Integrated Masters & Doctoral

USA: GTA/RA in EE, Univ of South Florida

Graduate research and/or teaching assistantships for the Ph.D. program in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida are currently available. The research focus areas are in Wireless Sensor Networks, Signal Processing for BCI, Speech/Speaker Recognition for Biometrics. The appointment is for the AY 2010-2011 includes tuition. Support beyond the first year will be based on the availability of funds, performance, and other factors.

Ireland: LGSSE Studentships

The Lero Graduate School in Software Engineering (LGSSE), the main education initiative of Lero – the Irish Software Engineering Research Centre, offers a four-year PhD program provided jointly by the four leading Irish Universities involved in Lero (Dublin City University, Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin and University of Limerick). The LGSSE program cycle begins in September 2010. The first year includes taught modules in research theory and practice, as well as technical software engineering modules. Also during the first year the candidate will prepare a research proposal that will be the basis for a three-year individual research project. In this way LGSSE seeks to combine the best features of the European and US models of PhD education.

Germany: PhD Student Fellowships on Biology and Pathology of the Malaria Parasite

Job Description
EVIMalaR is a collaborative research Network of Excellence, funded by the European Commission and coordinated by the University of Glasgow. It currently engages 49 Principal Investigators from 34 institutions in Europe (29) and malaria endemic countries (5). The consortium conducts research on malaria parasites and their interactions with both mammalian hosts and mosquito vectors. EVIMalaRs International PhD Programme aims to train talented young scientists from both North and South in malaria research, with emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches. It thus offers a unique opportunity for students to become engaged in malaria research in world-leading malaria research institutions.
